Be My Bridesmaid? Cupcakes!
Hi everyone! I have heard of all sorts of fun ways that brides ask their bridesmaids to be in their wedding. I wanted to share my way!
I presented them with a box of cupcakes, tied in ribbon, with the words "Be My...Bridesmaid?" on them!
The cupcakes were handmade with care and wrapped in vintage floral styled wrappers!
Thanks for stopping by!

My Bridal Shower 5/5/13
This past Sunday was my bridal shower. It was hosted by my mother, along with my maid of honor and bridesmaids.
It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen! It could have been my wedding and I would have been perfectly fine with that. The details were incredible. Take a look!
Details:
* We played a mustache/lipstick game where the guests had to guess if a response to a questionnaire was mine or Steve's
* My mothers wedding dress was on display next to where I sat to open gifts!
* My bridesmaids made me a bow-quet instead of a bow-hat so I can use it at the rehearsal!

Wedding Planning!
I just wanted to share some of the images of our wedding planning so far...just no pictures of the dress! ;-)
This is the ring that started it all. I am so in love with it. It is delicate, sparkly, and everything I could have dreamed of.
THIS is our venue. A beautiful, vintage restored barn. Complete with stained glass hanging from the ceiling!
These are our invitations, I love love them! We printed them ourselves, and I think they turned out great!
I love the unique wording we chose for our rsvps cards....take a look!
Also, along the way, we made these utensil holders. We ended up deciding not to use them, and to go another route. But, they were cute!
PLEASE SEE WEDDING INVITATION AND UTENSIL HOW-TO POST HERE
And last, but not least...this is how I asked my ladies to be part of our big day! My mom and I made the cupcakes ourselves. I bought the package and the ribbon and put them together!

This has been so fun! I cannot wait until the big day, and to see how all of this hard work comes together!

Our Kittens!
Not sure how I forgot to post about our two little girls, but here it is! Before Steve and I settled on our home, we rescued two little kittens. Let me tell you, they were so tiny and pitiful when we got them! We are so happy that we were able to take them in, get them healthy, and love them to death.
They are the silliest, craziest kittens I could have ask for. We refer to them as "the girls" and they are quite the pair.
This is a picture of them the first week we had them. The vet misjudged their age by a month because they were so malnourished.
Stinkin' cute, right? The gray one is Emma, the orange one is Chloe. This is how they look all grown up....

New Layout & Media Stand
Steve and I have been in the house now for 3 months. Things are finally coming together! At first, we were just so happy to have the renovations finished. After that, we started to crave "knick knacks". We wanted the house to look more lived in, more decorated. We are getting there! Since I last posted pictures of our living room, we have rearranged the furniture. Yesterday, we got a new tv stand, which I am IN LOVE with! Below I posted a picture of the tv stand we bought, and our new layout.
We have really enjoyed being out on our own. I really love being able to have our own home to decorate.

Townhouse Privacy In A Pretty Way
Well, I did it! I had been wanting to do something with the transom above our front door. I most commonly see curtains, but I wanted something different. So I got on the internet and looked for some other options to add privacy to a window. I found exactly what I was looking for!
I took a outline of a pattern that I got from the internet, and traced it onto a manila folder. I cut it out, and that gave me my stencil. I took a $6 roll of Con Tact paper, unrolled it, and got to tracing. I drew and cut out about 40 pieces.
Then, my friend Jamie came over to help me stick them on. I was placing them on the window (peel and stick!) and she was peeling the backings off for me as I went. It made it so much easier not having to stop between putting up each piece. When we were done, I took my fiances razor blade and cut the extra off the ones that went off the edge of the window.
SO happy with how this turned out! SO SO happy! I feel like it makes our home look so stylish.
This whole project only took about 2 hours with the tracing, cutting and putting up. WELL worth my time!

Snowy Day Picture!
Still so giddy that we are FINALLY in our home!
We have had a few light snows lately, and I couldn't resist a picture!
